The end of fluoridation in Quebec confirmed! - 3/27/08
After the council of Quebec City issued its intention last year to end fluoridation on April 1, 2008,
promoters of fluoridation in government went into action and lobbied to get them to change their mind.
Despite these efforts, and those by a newly elected mayor and a lot of misinformation distributed by
the media, on Tuesday, March 25, the Council confirmed by a vote of 16 to 13 its intention to end
fluoridation on April 1. When this occurs it will leave only about 5% of the population of Quebec
drinking fluoridated water. This is a huge victory for Quebec, for the whole of Canada, and the rest of
the world.

The community of Ashland, Oregon,
passed a bill prohibiting fluoridation - 11/06
The Ashland City Council wants to underline its message to the Oregon
Legislature: Don't tell us what to put in our drinking water. So it
passed an ordinance this week making it illegal to put fluoride, or
anything else that would act as medication, in the city's water supply.

Redding Voters Reject Fluoride -
11/02
Measure A does not ban fluoridation outright. Instead, the measure
forbids the city from adding chemicals to the water supply lacking
federal Food and Drug Administration approval for their health claims.

Juneau's voters delivered a
resounding "no" to fluoridating the city's water supplies on Tuesday
(10/07), putting an end, for now, to one of the most hotly contested
and expensive ballot initiatives in the city's history.

No Forced Fluoride in Bellingham,
Washington
On November 8, 2005, Bellingham residents voted 53 - 47 percent to keep
their water clean and rejected fluoridation.

Mount Desert residents voted to
remove fluoride from the drinking water by an overwhelming 229-42
margin at Monday's town meeting referendum vote. The town becomes the
first municipality in the state to remove fluoride from its water.
Since 1963, Mount Desert has added fluoride for its purported benefits
in combating tooth decay. But recent studies of fluoride's possible
negative effects led the Mount Desert Water District to seek an end to
fluoridation.
